Based on the diary entries of survivors of the French frigate Méduse a fascinating spectacle unravels in which the existential human need to survive, the shadow side of our psyche, is painfully revealed.

Founded in improvisations this idea evolved into a oppressive musical tableau vivant. The underlying social mechanisms, that is the base of our Western civilization is suffering badly after surviving a major disaster, this is the key ingredient for this research project. A true Gesamtkunstwerk in which the disciplines composition, directing, dramaturgy and scenography worked close together from the start.
